The Brief This former public house had been converted into residential accommodation. Unfortunately it was discovered that the new windows were not built to a good specification and were causing problems. County Joinery were commissioned to replace all the existing windows to match the originals as close as possible including the original metal casements. The Solution Because of the grade 2 listing, great care had to be taken with the manufacture of the windows. They were produced traditionally using our skilled craftsmen. Upon removal of the existing windows it was discovered that the timber lintels needed to be replaced, which we carried out. It was also discovered that some of the metal casements had to be re-built because of rot. The Result After the disappointment of the previous replacement frames the client was delighted with the finished result which was completed on time and within budget. | |||||
