| The History of County Joinery County Joinery can trace its history back to 1958, when the late Ernest (Reg) Nunn bought a disused Methodist chapel in Udimore, near Rye. He had been working locally for years with residents of the area and had decided to start his own a joinery works. Business went well over the ensuing years and after Regs retirement in 1971, the business was sold to his son Malcolm and continued trading well. In 1997, Malcolm retired and sold the business to the present owners, Roger and Jane Hodsoll, although initially only Roger had an active role within the business. At this time, there were two members of staff, which meant Rogers role was diverse. Fortunately, with over thirty years of joinery experience beginning at apprentice level, Roger had the motivation and knowledge needed to drive this small business forward. ...continue | | |
