Timber Country Cottage
Beckley, East Sussex
The Brief
After a long search Helmut and Cornelia finally found their new home. What attracted them to the property were the beautiful views over the Sussex countryside. However, the mock Tudor cottage had small rooms with heavily leaded windows together with a large over-hanging roof which made the interior extremely dark. It had quite a dank and depressing air about it said Cornelia but she hoped she could create her dream home.
County Joinery were commissioned to help her achieve her goals and as there was no architect involved she wanted us to work very closely with her on this exclusive project, consequently all drawings were approved and samples chosen by the clients before any work took place.

We carried out a complete refurbishment of all internal and external joinery including doors, windows, staircase and conservatory, all to very exacting specifications which included the following:
